Hello friends,

I wish you a happy fall season! I am very much enjoying the mist, autumnal colors, and cooler temperatures. It's a time for reflection, and apparently a whole bunch of performances!

The big one I want to tell you about is with Lonelyproof next Friday, October 9 at the Rusty Bee Lounge in Fitchburg. We play 6-8pm. This band doesn't play all that often, and it's definitely a passion project of mine. We have a couple brand new, never-before-heard songs that will make their debut at the Bee. For lovers of rock, grunge, and prog/psychedelic meanderings.

As usual, I'll be playing with my friends in Five Points Jazz Collective for the first Tuesday of the month at the Mason Lounge. That is next Tuesday, October 6, from 8 to 11pm.

I have the honor of playing some trombone alongside Wurk as part of their extra-special “Wurkestra” show at the Barrymore Theater. This is a combination of members from the DB Orchestra and the usual Wurk players. You'll hear big band arrangements of Wurk favorites in celebration of their 10 year anniversary (Wurkiversary?). Friday, October 16 at 8pm.

Then, it's on to tribute season. I'm sitting in on a few one-off projects this fall, and I didn't quite realize how busy I'll be until I typed this up!

October 20 - Playing trombone for Chest Fever, a touring band that pays tribute to The Band's Last Waltz show. This one's at the Atwood Music Hall.

October 31 - Playing guitar in a TLC cover band as part of Freakin' Halloweekend. Also at the Atwood Music Hall.

November 14 - Hips Don't Lie, a Shakira tribute at the High Noon Saloon. Always a good time!

November 27 - Driveway Thriftdwellers' annual Black Friday Tom Petty tribute show at the Majestic Theater.

November 28 - Thriftdwellers are bringing the Petty tribute show to Turner Hall in Milwaukee.

I hope to see you out at a few of these!

Musically yours,
KR
