Happy Valentine's Day, lovers and loners!

It's been a great weekend for me so far. Last night, I played with The Big Payback at the Hard Rock Café in Chicago. It was overall a really fun experience, although our set got cut a little short. Ah well, what can you do? The stage was nice, the staff friendly, and the crowd was dancing. I can't ask for much more.

My girlfriend and I spent the night in Chicago, and so far today has been a laid back mix of eating, driving, reading, and researching posol
é recipes. Tomorrow is my turn to cook.

Musically, 2015 is shaping up to be pretty full-on. This is what is tentatively on my plate for this year:
  • Recording a new album with The Big Payback, hopefully to be released this year
  • Organizing an acoustic solo mini-tour back home to Colorado in May
  • Writing and recording a few more acoustic songs, probably to be bundled with material from my EPs and released as a full-length CD
  • Writing material for a totally new solo album, to be recorded professionally later
  •  Hopefully putting together some sort of small 3 or 4-piece band to give my solo music a wider range of venues
That should keep me busy for a while. I'm excited to see how this all shapes up.

In the meantime, I'm happy to announce that I'm up for several Madison Area Music Awards (MAMAs) this year!

If you like my music, please consider voting for me at this website. Your $5 registration fee goes to help provide resources for youth music programs. The first round of voting ends on March 9. I'm up for:

Artist of the Year
Country/Bluegrass Song (Audrianna and Before Too Long)
Folk/Americana Song (Before Too Long and Dear Gravity)
Pop/R&B Song (Audrianna)
Unique Song (Dear Gravity)
Country/Bluegrass Album (The Bleak, Barbarian Pines EP)
Folk/Americana Album (The Bleak, Barbarian Pines EP)

If you think I'm deserving of any of that, give me a vote! I'd deeply appreciate it.

Alright, that's enough for now. Take care!
